Terms of use
A plain-language guide to using Taxtimate’s current tax estimator.
Last updated: September 16, 2026
The current service
Taxtimate provides preliminary 2026 tax estimates for supported situations. It does not file or transmit tax returns, make tax payments or provide official filing-ready forms.
Using an estimate
Results depend on the information you enter and the calculations currently supported. Missing facts, unsupported situations and changes to tax guidance can affect a result. Check the interview messages and review your entries. Do not treat an incomplete result as a complete estimate or a displayed amount as a guarantee of your final tax, refund or eligibility.
The website provides general information and calculations for planning. For a decision about your particular filing or payment obligations, consult the applicable tax-agency guidance or a qualified tax professional.
Temporary data and availability
The current estimator uses a temporary anonymous session. Refreshing the estimator clears the active estimate. Inactive estimates are also removed through automatic cleanup. Availability and recovery of unfinished estimates are not guaranteed; keep your original records separately.
The Privacy & data page explains temporary storage, deletion and voluntary support emails.
Use the website responsibly
Use Taxtimate lawfully. Do not attempt to access another visitor’s data, bypass access controls, disrupt the service or upload malicious content. Report a suspected problem through the contact address without including someone else’s private data.
Changes and questions
Taxtimate’s features and supported cases may change. This page describes the current estimator, and its update date will change when these terms are revised.
